Japanese food retailers launch seasonal autumn and Tsukimi menus
Various Japanese food and beverage establishments are launching seasonal menus to celebrate autumn and the Tsukimi (moon-viewing) tradition.
Mos Burger has introduced its fifth annual Tsukimi series, featuring a Tsukimi Focaccia with a new golden cheese sauce made from Parmesan and Cheddar. The lineup also includes a Menchi Katsu Cheese Burger and sweet potato-themed items like Satsuma Balls and honey sweet potato shakes.
Nakau is releasing Tsukimi-themed udon and soba dishes starting September 16, including a beef and soft-boiled egg Tsukimi Warm Egg Beef Tsukemen. Patisserie Tooth Tooth has debuted an autumn tart collection featuring ingredients such as Shine Muscat grapes, figs, chestnuts, and sweet potatoes.
In Hyogo Prefecture, the specialty shop Kokutoya at Hankyu Nishinomiya Gardens is offering a limited-edition reward bowl featuring smoked salmon collar, maitake mushrooms, and natural yam (jinenjo). Komeda's Coffee is also participating in the seasonal trend with various limited-edition autumn and Tsukimi menus.
