Japanese food retailers launch summer sweets and chilled soup sets

Nagomi no Komeya (米屋株式会社) has introduced a limited‑time summer confection called the "Cool Shine Muscat Daifuku," featuring a filling made with domestically sourced Shine Muscat grape sauce. The product is sold through its online shop and will be available until late August.

Matsuya Co. began offering a "Cold Soup Set" on August 4, pairing its chilled tofu‑and‑vegetable soup (reyayu) with various menu items. The set provides discounts of up to ¥70, with prices ranging from ¥390 for the soup alone to ¥730 for a soup‑plus‑vegetable combo, and special bundled pricing when combined with the beef rice bowl or other dishes.

Both promotions target Japanese consumers seeking refreshing options during the hot summer months.
