Japanese funeral service providers expand regional facility networks

Funeral service providers in Japan are expanding their regional networks through new facility openings.

Nihon Ceremony Co., Ltd. is launching the Tomiya Tenrei Kaikan in Miyagi Prefecture. To commemorate the opening, the company is hosting an opening fair featuring facility tours, individual consultations regarding end-of-life planning, and community events such as a lottery and children's festival.

Simultaneously, Asuka Kaikan Co., Ltd. has opened six new family funeral halls across Kitakyushu and Fukuyama. This expansion brings their total network to 22 halls across the Yamaguchi, Fukuoka, and Hiroshima regions. The company is holding various open house events to allow residents to view the facilities and consult with staff regarding funeral services and membership benefits.
