Japanese hospitality sector sees new openings and anniversaries

Several developments are occurring within the Japanese hospitality sector. In Hokkaido, HAKODATE Kaikyo no Kaze, managed by Noguchi Kanko Management Co., Ltd., is celebrating its 10th anniversary. To mark the milestone, the hotel in Hakodate's Yunokawa Onsen area is offering a limited-time ‘Lucky Bag Plan’ for stays between August 17 and October 31, 2026. Guests participating in the promotion can win prizes such as room upgrades or 5,000 yen accommodation discount vouchers.

Additionally, new hotel openings have been announced. Hasegawa Hotel & Resort is launching Y’s HOTEL Asahikawa Ekimae, its first business hotel in the Hokkaido region, located near JR Asahikawa Station. In Kanagawa Prefecture, the Yamaneko Shigoto Group has opened Hotel Enmichi in Kawasaki to connect local culture with visitors.
