Japanese hospitality venues launch autumn fruit dessert festivals

Various hospitality venues in Japan are launching seasonal dessert events centered on autumn fruits, particularly Shine Muscat grapes.

KIHACHI Cafe is hosting its inaugural ‘Autumn Fruit Sweets Fair’ from September 3 to November 9, 2026. The menu features Shine Muscat and Pione grape parfaits, seasonal pies, and fig crepes. The cafe in Fukuoka will also offer seasonal afternoon tea sets without the need for prior reservation.

In Ibaraki Prefecture, Hotel Nikko Tsukuba will hold an experiential event titled ‘Sweets Mania: Shine Muscat Brilliance Edition’ on October 17, 2026. The program includes a visit to Tanno Farm to observe grape cultivation and speak with producers, followed by a tasting session featuring three types of grapes and specialized desserts prepared by pastry chef Teruyuki Hirata.
