Japanese hotels launch autumn food events and charity initiatives

Several Japanese hotels are launching seasonal autumn food events. Hotel Excel Tokyu Kichijoji in Tokyo will host the ‘SORAE Sweets Buffet – Chocolate Drowning Harvest Festival’ every Wednesday from September 2 to November 25, 2026. The buffet features chocolate-based desserts alongside seasonal ingredients such as chestnut, sweet potato, apple, pear, and grape.

In Kobe, Hotel Okura Kobe is holding an ‘Apple Fair’ from October 1 to November 30, 2026, as part of its ‘Smile PROJECT’. This initiative supports the Mwanga Foundation, an NPO led by Fidea Kobayashi that aids orphans in Tanzania. The hotel will donate 10% of the pre-tax price of specific apple-themed sweets, breads, and cocktails to the foundation to support the independence and education of children in Tanzania.
