Japanese luxury hotels launch seasonal fruit-themed afternoon teas

Luxury hotels in Japan are introducing seasonal afternoon tea menus featuring regional fruits.

Kobe Portopia Hotel’s tea lounge, Belle Cour, is launching a Shine Muscat Afternoon Tea set available from August 31 to November 1, 2026. The menu includes Shine Muscat shortcake, tarts, and savory items such as prosciutto and Shine Muscat salad. The set features a 90-minute tea free-flow and options for specialized colorful drinks.

Swissôtel Nankai Osaka is offering a Fukuoka Fruit Summer Afternoon Tea through August 31. This menu highlights Fukuoka specialties, including Toyomitsu-hime figs, Shine Muscat, Kyoho grapes, and Yame tea. Savory selections include spicy cod roe mayonnaise sablés and Yame tea cream puffs, accompanied by a tea buffet.
