Japanese publishers launch new titles for August 2026 on Switch, PS5 and PC

Taito announced that pre‑orders have begun for the downloadable version of Bubble Bobble Sugar Dungeon Boost on Nintendo Switch, offering a 15 % discount through 1 September. A similar discount will be available for the PlayStation 5 version to PlayStation Plus members, and the Steam edition will be sold at 25 % off. Existing owners of the Steam version will receive a free large update so they can play the Boost edition, and the company is also holding a nationwide Bubble Bobble 40th‑anniversary event at Taito stores across Japan.

MAGES. opened store pages and started pre‑order acceptance for STEINS;GATE RE:BOOT, slated for release on 20 August 2026. Reservations are live on the Nintendo eShop, Steam and PlayStation Store, with a digital deluxe edition that bundles a visual book, soundtrack and footage from a 15‑year anniversary live show. Both titles will launch simultaneously on multiple platforms, accompanied by promotional pricing and special edition bundles.
