Japanese restaurant chains launch limited‑time menu promotions on August 7, 2026

Hanamaru Udon announced a special "Hanamaru Gratitude Udon" for its "Hanamaru Udon Day" on August 7. The dish features three large shrimp tempura pieces on a udon bowl and is priced at ¥870. The promotion runs nationwide (excluding a few locations) from August 7 to August 31 and includes a first‑time collaboration with Sanrio’s character Hanamaru Ghost, offering exclusive stickers, a mystery‑spotting sheet for children, and limited‑edition candy.

Separately, the eel‑bowls chain Meidai Unatoto will run a "Stamina Fair" from August 7 to September 3. The fair offers a "Stamina Bowl" that combines charcoal‑grilled eel, tororo, okra, natto and a soft‑boiled onsen egg, available in four sizes ranging from ¥1,100 to ¥2,780. An optional set with pork soup and pickles adds ¥330, and drinks such as draft beer and highball are offered. The promotion is available at 15 of the chain’s own stores across Tokyo, Kanagawa, Osaka and Kumamoto.
