Japanese restaurant chains roll out summer food festivals in July 2026

Skylark’s Jonathan chain will host two summer fairs – a spice‑focused “Red Curry” event and a peach‑themed “momo wow!” dessert fair – at all Jonathan locations from July 16 to early September 2026. The fairs feature a new hot shrimp and summer‑vegetable red curry, a cold tofu‑based curry udon using Akita’s Inaniwa noodles, and a range of peach desserts.

Meanwhile, the JOI‑run Joinus shopping complex in Yokohama will run a “Summer Gourmet Festival” from July 13 to August 31, 2026. All 33 restaurants and cafés in the complex will offer limited‑time summer menus, including cold noodle dishes, spicy tom yum noodles, fruit‑laden sweets, and high‑protein options such as grilled eel and fried fish.

Both promotions aim to attract shoppers during the hot season with seasonal, limited‑time menu items across multiple venues in Japan.
