Japanese restaurants launch seasonal autumn menus

Various dining establishments in Japan are introducing seasonal autumn menus featuring pumpkin and local harvests.

Olive no Oka in Tsukuba is offering a limited October menu that includes Hokkaido pumpkin and mozzarella cream soup pasta, alongside a Hokkaido pumpkin pudding served with Italian chestnut gelato. The restaurant is also featuring a seasonal antipasto of fried octopus and broccoli.

Sweets Paradise is launching its ‘Autumn Grand Harvest Festival’ from October 17 to November 30, 2026. The campaign features all-you-can-eat salt rice balls made from Yamagata-grown Haenuki rice and seasonal vegetable tonjiru (pork soup) with pumpkin. The menu also includes all-you-can-eat Shine Muscat grapes and freshly squeezed Mont Blanc desserts with seasonal flavors such as matcha and purple sweet potato.
