Japanese retail outlets Minstop Fuji and Ebari‑ya announce July 2026 closures

The Minstop convenience store in Fuji City, Shizuoka Prefecture, will close at 9 a.m. on 31 July 2026. A closing‑down sale offering up to 30 % off snacks, drinks, household goods and alcohol is currently underway, with reduced hours until 30 July.

The longtime neighbourhood supermarket Ebari‑ya in the former Musashikosugi area of Yokohama will also cease operations on 31 July 2026, ending a 50‑year presence. A “sell‑out” promotion began on 23 July, featuring discounted fruit such as Shine Muscat grapes and kiwis, and the store will remain open for fresh produce sales until the final day.
