Japanese retailer LOFT opens first Hong Kong store in Mong Kok's MOKO mall

Japanese lifestyle retailer LOFT is set to open its first Hong Kong outlet in August at the MOKO shopping centre in Mong Kok. The store will be introduced by local agent YAICHI (谷日百貨), which also represents the Japanese variety‑store chain 3 COINS in Hong Kong. LOFT has posted recruitment ads for full‑time sales staff with monthly salaries between HK$15,000 and HK$16,000, confirming preparations for the launch.

LOFT, a flagship Japanese household‑goods chain with more than 177 stores across Japan, previously operated brief locations in Hong Kong in the 1990s and until 2011. The new outlet will expand the brand’s presence for tourists and local shoppers seeking Japanese‑style stationery, cosmetics, kitchenware and novelty items.
