Japanese food companies launch seasonal summer products

Japanese food manufacturers and convenience stores are launching various seasonal products aimed at addressing the summer heat.

Nissin Foods has introduced a limited-time ‘Cup Noodle Lemon Seafood Noodle’ featuring a seafood base with a special lemon and black pepper powder. Dozo Freesh is offering a zero-calorie, sugar-free cold-brew fruit tea set including flavors like Ruby Dragon and Lemon Passion.

Major convenience chains are also expanding their summer menus. FamilyMart has released a lemon salt ramen with ultra-fine noodles and a variety of new items including garlic rice and specialty bento boxes. Seven-Eleven Japan, in collaboration with Ramen Walker, is launching ‘Chilled Iekei Ramen’ and ‘Chilled Pepper Soba’ to provide stimulating, cold meal options for the late summer season.
