Japan's retailers unveil summer promotional bags

Cafe de Crie partnered with the cartoon character Cojicoji to launch a limited‑edition summer bag on July 1. The set includes a rope‑handled Cojicoji tote, a plush Cojicoji pouch, a colour‑changing glass, three product vouchers and a bottle of honey‑peach tea. The bag is sold for ¥4,800 and is available both in stores and via reservation.

KALDI released its annual summer coffee bag with a price rise to ¥2,500. The new version returns to three bags of coffee beans after a brief spring edition that reduced beans and added drip‑coffee packs. The price increase reflects rising costs, while the bag’s design remains a simple, three‑way shoulder‑carry style. Both releases illustrate how Japanese retailers are tweaking summer‑season product lines amid price pressures.
