Jared Verse leads Cleveland Browns in quarterback pressures

Cleveland Browns edge rusher Jared Verse is making a significant impact on the team's defense despite not yet recording a sack this season. Verse leads the team with nine quarterback pressures, including six during a recent 21-18 victory over the Carolina Panthers. His ability to collapse the pocket has directly contributed to sacks by teammates such as Mason Graham and Isaiah McGuire.

Defensive coordinator Mike Rutenberg has utilized Verse in various roles, moving him from a traditional edge rusher position to snaps in the box at defensive end and defensive tackle to disrupt interior offensive linemen. Since joining the Browns, Verse has generated 152 pressures, ranking fifth among edge rushers in that category.

Beyond his statistical output, Verse has been noted for his leadership and role in elevating teammates during training camp and games. He has engaged in competitive practice sessions with rookie Spencer Fano and has been credited with bringing high intensity to the defensive unit.
