Starlink ground station fire in Poland under investigation for sabotage
The Polish National Prosecutor's Office has launched an investigation into a fire that occurred at a Starlink ground station in Wola Krobowska, located in Grójec County, Mazovia. The incident, which took place on September 23, 2026, involved a fire in a power supply box.
Spokesperson Przemysław Nowak stated that the investigation has expanded beyond simple arson to include charges of espionage, acts of diversion, and terrorist activity conducted on behalf of a foreign intelligence service. The station is considered strategically important for providing connectivity in Central and Eastern Europe, including service to Ukraine. The investigation is being conducted under Article 130, paragraph 7 of the Penal Code, which pertains to espionage.
