Jarosław Kaczyński outlines PiS election strategy
At the XXI Congress of the "Gazeta Polska" clubs in Sulejów, PiS leader Jarosław Kaczyński said the party's only path to victory in the upcoming parliamentary election is a "big tent" coalition, seeking to unify smaller right‑wing formations, absorb the remaining PSL voters, and keep the post‑communist left out. He indicated talks with minor groups and raised the question of whether the Confederation will join.
An opinion piece warned that PiS faces a process dubbed “Bąkiewizacja,” where emotionally charged, populist tactics centered on figures such as Robert Bąkiewicz are being used. The author argues that such tactics alienate centrist voters and may undermine PiS's chances, especially in light of the South Warsaw Hospital scandal that has opened space for the opposition.
