Jarosław Kaczyński’s leadership faces mixed public ratings as PiS celebrates 25 years

In a recent interview Kaczyński dismissed any cooperation with Grzegorz Braun, sharply criticised Donald Tusk, and praised the government’s decision to raise teachers’ salaries. The same week he appeared as a witness before the Warsaw District Prosecutor’s Office in an investigation into the disputed “two towers” real‑estate project, answering questions for nine hours; no further procedural steps have been announced.

Separately, analysts note that PiS is marking its 25th anniversary. They credit Kaczyński with building the party’s power by learning from past right‑wing defeats, employing ruthless tactics, appealing to voters’ basic instincts, and rigorously studying public attitudes. Despite current challenges, his strategic legacy is seen as a lasting influence on Polish politics.
