Jaroslaw Kaczynski remains top right‑wing figure as PiS support trails

Recent opinion polls show that Jaroslaw Kaczynski continues to be recognised as the leading figure of Poland's right-wing, with 38% of respondents naming him the most important right‑wing personality in a Pollster Institute survey for Super Express. An IBRiS poll for Onet records 19.7% of respondents identifying Kaczynski as the leader of the right.

Despite his personal dominance, the Law and Justice party (PiS) is losing electoral ground. The IBRiS poll for Polsat News indicates PiS support at 23.7%, while the Civic Coalition (KO) leads with 29.3% support. Other right‑wing politicians cited in the survey include Karol Nawrocki (19% as right‑wing leader), Sławomir Mentzen (7%), Grzegorz Braun (5.4%), Krzysztof Bosak (4.8%) and Przemysław Czarnek (3.6%).

Analysts note that Kaczynski's long‑standing control of PiS, lacking a clear successor, may hinder the party's ability to broaden its voter base as it remains in opposition after the 2023 parliamentary election.
