Javier Maroto performs Silvio Rodríguez tribute in Aguadulce

Spanish singer-songwriter Javier Maroto performed a tribute to Cuban artist Silvio Rodríguez in the Villa África area of Aguadulce. The concert was part of the ‘A pie de calle’ program organized by the local Department of Culture.

Accompanied by flautist Juanma García Navia, Maroto performed several of Rodríguez’s works, including ‘Te doy una canción’, ‘Ojalá’, and ‘La maza’. The repertoire also included songs by Serrat and Carlos Cano, as well as humorous tracks performed under Maroto’s alter ego, ‘Javi Amroto’. Maroto is a guitarist and music teacher known for his interest in preserving the legacy of Spanish-language singer-songwriter traditions.
