Javier May Rodríguez reports progress in Tabasco after two years in office

Tabasco Governor Javier May Rodríguez marked two years in office by reporting progress in security, housing, and employment. He highlighted a 54% decrease in intentional homicides, attributing the decline to increased institutional strength and coordination with the Armed Forces through units like the Fuerza Inmediata de Reacción Táctica Olmeca.

In social sectors, the administration has delivered over 3,700 free houses with an investment exceeding 1,366 million pesos, prioritizing titles for female heads of household. The state unemployment rate has also dropped from 4.4% to 3.5%, with over 40,000 citizens joining the formal economy.

During a visit to the “El Gran Sembrador” peasant learning community in Huimanguillo, May Rodríguez supervised the Sembrando Vida program. He noted that the state invests 1,200 million pesos annually in the program, benefiting approximately 20,000 families. The community currently manages 40,000 produced plants and 30,000 planted ones to support upcoming reforestation efforts.
