Javier Milei visits Paris as TotalEnergies announces $10 billion investment in Argentina

Argentine President Javier Milei recently visited Paris, where he was received at the Elysée Palace. During his visit, an event organized by the Argentine embassy highlighted the country's investment climate to various French multinational corporations, including Eramet, Auchan, Danone, Louis-Dreyfus, and TotalEnergies.

Notably, TotalEnergies CEO Patrick Pouyanné announced a planned investment of 10 billion dollars in Argentina.

In separate news regarding French financial policy, the Caisse des dépôts et consignations has adopted a new policy to stop subscribing to bonds from oil multinationals, including TotalEnergies, in an effort to limit the financing of new fossil fuel projects.
