Jaworzno announces 2027 participatory budget winners

The city of Jaworzno has announced the results of its 14th participatory budget cycle for 2027. Out of 12 proposals, four projects were selected for funding from a total pool of 4.8 million PLN.

The most significant winner, the “Sport Odnowa” project, received over 9,000 votes. This initiative, estimated to cost 4.5 million PLN, focuses on sports infrastructure, including the construction of Orlik-type pitches at LKS Ciężkowianka, KS Zgoda Byczyna, and Primary School No. 15, as well as modernizing existing fields at Primary Schools 14 and 3.

Other selected projects include “Investment in Safety and Rescue,” which will provide equipment for the Dąbrowa Narodowa and Osiedle Stałe Volunteer Fire Departments (125,000 PLN), and two mental health initiatives: “Strength of Hope,” focusing on psycho-oncological workshops (75,000 PLN), and “Yoga of the Mind,” aimed at psychological resilience (55,000 PLN).
