Jazz dos Muertos music project debuts in Rio de Janeiro's Lapa

The musical project ‘Jazz dos Muertos’ is debuting at La Esquina in the Lapa district of Rio de Janeiro. Scheduled for Thursday nights throughout October and November, the initiative aims to provide access to various genres, including Jazz, Latin Jazz, Bossa Nova, Samba Jazz, Soul, and Brazilian music.

The project is led by a female curation and executive production team consisting of Mônica Silva, Luciana Moisakis, and Márcia Milito. It also serves as a tribute to Rosa de Almeida, a prominent figure in Rio de Janeiro’s music and culture industry.

The season kicks off on October 15 with the Giovanna Adoracion Quinteto performing ‘Aura Jazz,’ a show featuring Brazilian and international jazz standards, Bossa Nova, and Soul.
