Jazz Quartet and Weill/Brecht Concerts Announced in German Cities

A jazz quartet led by Swiss saxophonist Andreas Schaerer will perform in Braunschweig's Red Hall at Schlossplatz, presenting new material from their upcoming album "Anthem For No Man’s Land" slated for release in spring 2025. The ensemble, featuring Luciano Biondini, Kalle Kalima and Lucas Niggli, blends European folk, psychedelic rock and multi‑ethnic polyrhythms and has toured Europe and North America.

Separately, the International Bach Academy will stage Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht’s cantata "Der Lindberghflug" on 1 May 2027 at the Forum am Schlosspark in Ludwigsburg. The program includes works by George Gershwin and Maurice Ravel and will be conducted by Hans‑Christoph Rademann with tenor Julian Habermann, basses Matthias Winckhler and Matthias Lika, the Gaechinger Cantorey choir and the Stuttgart Philharmonic Orchestra.
