JCB announces major investments in UK and US manufacturing

JCB is accelerating global investments following a world land speed record of 406.320 mph achieved using its hydrogen technology. The manufacturer is committing significant resources to British manufacturing and expanding its presence in the United States.

In the UK, the company is investing £100 million to transform its global headquarters in Staffordshire. In the US, a new facility in San Antonio, Texas—the company’s largest in the world—is scheduled to open next month, with expectations to create 1,500 jobs over the next five years.

Following a period of solid financial performance in 2025, which saw turnover reach £5.7 billion and pre-tax profits of £642 million, JCB announced a leadership change. George Bamford will become Co-Chairman alongside Lord Bamford, marking the first change in the company’s top leadership in over 50 years.
