JD Vance tells supporters to skip donations if groceries are too expensive

Vice President JD Vance issued a fundraising text on behalf of the Republican National Committee (RNC) in which he addressed supporters facing financial difficulties. In the message, Vance stated, “If you can’t give right now, don’t. Groceries cost what they cost.”

In response to the message, the Democratic National Committee (DNC) criticized the administration, alleging that the Trump-Vance presidency has overseen skyrocketing grocery prices. The DNC claimed that the average American household has spent over $3,500 more since the administration took office, citing increases in the costs of staples such as beef, coffee, and fresh produce.
