Jean-Claude Perrottet questioned by ICAC over factional payments, fugitive developer link

Jean-Claude Perrottet, the younger brother of former NSW premier Dominic Perrottet, appeared before the New South Wales Independent Commission Against Corruption (ICAC) as part of Operation Rosny. The inquiry is probing the Reformers, a conservative Christian faction within the state Liberal Party, for alleged illegal political donations and branch‑stacking.

During the hearing Perrottet acknowledged receiving payments from the faction’s accounts – $3,000 and a later $900 – and a series of $5,000 monthly invoices from a company called Beckington, which he could not recall any work for. He also disclosed that fugitive property developer Jean Nassif had offered $100,000 to a Perrottet brother for political purposes, a sum linked to the developer’s collapse and his flight to Lebanon.

The testimony also implicated other figures, including Reformers co‑founders Christian Ellis and Robert Assaf, lobbyist Jeremy Greenwood, former finance minister Damien Tudehope and Catholic Schools NSW head Dallas McInerney. The investigation centres on whether the payments constituted illicit donations and whether factional operatives used positions in Catholic education bodies to further party recruitment and control of branch memberships.
