Jeep launches electric Compass 4xe and Long Range SUVs in Europe

Jeep has opened orders for two new electric versions of its Compass SUV in European markets. The Compass 4xe is a plug‑in hybrid with dual electric motors delivering 375 hp (276 kW) and a 96.1 kWh battery that provides up to 600 km of range on the WLTP cycle. It features all‑wheel drive, a 10 mm higher ride height and off‑road specifications such as a 28° approach angle, 17° breakover angle, 31° departure angle and 480 mm wading depth. The new BEV Long Range model is front‑wheel drive, produces 231 hp (170 kW) and can travel up to 674 km on a single charge (WLTP) thanks to the same 96.1 kWh pack. Both variants share the STLA Medium platform, level‑2 driver assistance and Jeep’s Selec‑Terrain system with five drive modes. Prices start at €47,900. To demonstrate the 4xe’s capabilities, Jeep released a four‑episode YouTube series filmed on the dunes of Sardinia, showing the vehicle handling sand, mud and steep grades while highlighting its torque distribution and rear‑axle boost. The launch expands Jeep’s electrified lineup and signals a stronger push into the European electric‑vehicle market.
