Jeep Compass undergoes full model change with European production

Jeep has launched the third-generation Compass, marking its first full model change in nine years. The mid-size SUV has transitioned to European production, utilizing the latest platform and powertrains from the Stellantis Group.

The new model features a 1.2L three-cylinder gasoline turbo engine paired with a 48V mild-hybrid system and a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. It delivers a system output of 107kW (145PS) and a WLTC fuel consumption rating of 19.6km/L. While maintaining traditional Jeep design cues like the seven-slot grille and trapezoidal wheel arches, the exterior has been updated with a more modern, urban aesthetic.

Dimensions have increased compared to the previous generation, with a length of 4550mm and a width of 1910mm. The interior includes a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and a 16-inch touchscreen, balancing digital interfaces with physical switches for climate control. In Japan, pricing starts at 5.2 million yen, with a limited edition 'The First Edition' available for 5.95 million yen.
