Jeep introduces new Compass 4xe plug‑in hybrid SUV with advanced off‑road performance
Jeep showcased its new Compass 4xe plug‑in hybrid SUV during the second Jeep Capability Stories episode in Sardinia, Italy, emphasizing the model’s off‑road capabilities.
The Compass 4xe combines two electric motors that produce 157 kW on the front axle and 132 kW on the rear, delivering a combined output of 375 hp (280 kW) and up to 3,100 Nm of torque. It features increased ground clearance, a 28° approach angle, 31° departure angle, water‑wading depth of 480 mm and the ability to climb 20% slopes even without front‑wheel traction. Drivers can select from five modes—Auto, Sport, Sand & Mud, Snow and 4WD Lock—using the Selec‑Terrain system.
