Jeep launches all-electric Compass 4xe in Europe

Jeep has launched European orders for the Compass 4xe, marking a shift for the 4xe badge from plug-in hybrid to a fully electric powertrain. The compact SUV features two electric motors—one on each axle—producing a combined 375 hp.

The vehicle can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.9 seconds. A notable technical feature is the rear motor's 14:1 reduction gear, which multiplies torque to 3,100 Nm at the rear wheels to improve off-road capability.

Equipped with a 96.1 kWh battery, the Compass 4xe offers an estimated WLTP range of up to 606 km. It supports 160 kW DC fast charging, allowing a 20% to 80% charge in approximately 27 minutes. Recent testing in Arjeplog, Sweden, demonstrated the vehicle's performance and intelligent all-wheel-drive capabilities in Arctic snow and ice conditions.
