Jeep recalls hundreds of thousands of vehicles over safety risks

Jeep is conducting multiple recalls affecting hundreds of thousands of vehicles due to mechanical and software issues.

One major recall involves 328,381 Grand Cherokee models (including 2021–2023 Grand Cherokee L, 2022–2023 Grand Cherokee, and 2022–2023 Grand Cherokee 4xe). The issue stems from rear coil springs that may have been incorrectly installed during assembly. If a spring detaches while driving, it could compromise suspension performance and pose a risk to the driver and others on the road. Vehicles equipped with air suspension are excluded from this specific campaign. Dealers will replace the lower coil spring isolators free of charge.

Additionally, Stellantis is recalling 201,976 Jeep vehicles because of a software fault in the Radio Frequency Hub module. This defect may prevent the tire-pressure monitoring system (TPMS) from detecting or displaying warnings for low tire pressure. Affected owners will receive notifications starting in late September 2026, and dealers will reprogram the module at no cost.
