Liverpool FC nears $6 billion valuation in deal with Jeff Bezos consortium FAST-MOVING

A consortium led by Amit Bhatia is nearing a deal to acquire a significant minority stake in Liverpool FC, reportedly representing approximately one-third of the club's shares. The investment group includes Amazon founder Jeff Bezos and Facebook co-founder Eduardo Saverin.

If finalized, the transaction could value the Premier League club at approximately $6 billion, marking one of the highest valuations in football history. Fenway Sports Group (FSG), which has owned the club since 2010, is expected to retain majority control despite the influx of capital.

An official announcement from FSG could occur as early as this week or next. The deal follows FSG's recent history of exploring external investment to bolster the club's financial position for global competition.
