Jeff Hays Cast as Voice of Princess Donut in Peacock's Dungeon Crawler Carl

At a San Diego Comic-Con panel, Peacock announced that Jeff Hays, the longtime narrator of the Dungeon Crawler Carl audiobooks, will provide the voice of Princess Donut in the live‑action adaptation. Hays, who has recorded more than 140 million listening hours for the series on Audible, will portray the talk‑ative, tiara‑wearing cat that partners with Coast Guard veteran Carl in an alien‑run survival game.

The series is based on Matt Dinniman’s New York Times‑bestselling LitRPG novels, which have sold over 14 million copies worldwide. Production is handled by Universal Global Television and Seth MacFarlane’s Fuzzy Door Productions, with Chris Yost as writer and executive producer. The casting marks the first announced actor for the show, underscoring Peacock’s strategy to leverage the franchise’s existing fan base.
