Jeju Province announces Chuseok economic stimulus and donation benefits

Jeju Province is implementing several economic stimulus measures to support residents and local businesses during the Chuseok holiday period.

As part of the Hometown Love Donation Program, donors contributing 100,000 KRW or more between September 7 and September 30 can select from four special gift sets, including Jeju citrus and black pork, handmade rice cakes, Jeju pork, or black cattle. These sets are available at up to a 45% discount compared to market prices. Additionally, 200 donors will be randomly selected to receive a Jeju silver hairtail set. Donors also receive tax deductions and 'Tamnaneun Jeju' passes, which offer discounts or free access to various local tourist attractions for one year.

Simultaneously, the monthly cashback accumulation limit for the local currency, Tamnaneunjeon, will be increased from 700,000 KRW to 1,000,000 KRW from September 5 through October 31. While the 10% accumulation rate remains unchanged, this increase aims to reduce the cost of living for residents during the holidays and encourage spending by visitors during the National Sports Festival. Funding for this measure was secured through provincial supplementary budgets and national government allocations.
