Jeju to host inaugural International Environment Forum Week

Jeju Special Self-Governing Province will host the inaugural ‘2026 Jeju International Environment Forum Week’ from September 9 to 11 at the Jeju International Convention Center. Under the theme ‘Era of Transition to Green Civilization, Our Role,’ the event integrates previously separate environmental forums into a single comprehensive program.

The forum aims to connect discussions on climate economy, circular economy, environmental education, sustainable forest management, and international cooperation. Participants include government officials, environmental experts, international organizations such as the World Bank and the Green Climate Fund, and representatives from the UN Global Compact and WWF.

Key sessions include the World Climate Economy Forum, the Jeju International Environment Forum focusing on ‘Circular Economy 2.0,’ and the Namugachi Forum regarding sustainable forest management. The event will also feature exhibitions and hands-on programs related to carbon neutrality and upcycling.
