Jen Shah to complete federal sentence following fraud conviction

Jen Shah, a former star of ‘Real Housewives of Salt Lake City’, is set to complete her federal sentence on Friday, Aug. 28. Her release follows 33 months in prison and approximately eight months of home confinement.

Shah was sentenced for her involvement in a nationwide telemarketing fraud scheme. While the Federal Bureau of Prisons lists her release date as Aug. 30, policy allows for release on the preceding weekday when the date falls on a weekend. She has been serving the final portion of her sentence under home confinement with an ankle monitor since her release from the Federal Prison Camp in Bryan, Texas.

Despite completing less than half of her six-and-a-half-year sentence, Shah remains required to pay up to $6.5 million in restitution to her victims. Sources close to Shah describe her as being in a ‘really positive’ and ‘hopeful’ state, expressing a desire to get back to work and make amends.
