South Korean singer Jennie issued her new solo single “Less Than a Lover” on 31 July 2026 through OddAtelier and Columbia Records. Written by Jennie, the track blends alternative‑pop with lo‑fi guitars and vintage electric keyboards and describes a relationship that sits between friendship and romance. The accompanying video, conceived by Jennie, shows her in an alternate world filming a short movie with friends, where a fabricated love story reshapes their dynamic.

Jennie, formerly of Blackpink, previously released her solo debut album “Ruby” and has become a fashion icon, collaborating with brands such as Chanel, Adidas and Beats. She will headline upcoming summer festivals including Lollapalooza in Chicago and Japan’s Summer Sonic Festival.
