Jeong Yein joins Netflix series The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call

Netflix has officially confirmed that Jeong Yein, a member of the K-pop group Lovelyz, will join the cast of the series ‘The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call’. She is set to take over the role previously held by Ha Young for the second and third seasons.

The casting follows a period of uncertainty where both Netflix and Jeong Yein’s agency had previously denied rumors regarding her involvement. The confirmation came following reports of a script reading involving the main cast.

The medical drama follows genius trauma surgeon Baek Kang Hyuk, played by Ju Ji Hoon, as he attempts to revitalize a struggling severe trauma care team. Jeong Yein, who began her acting career with the web drama ‘The Blue Sea’ and the series ‘Criminal Minds’, will step into the role after auditions were held to find a successor for the departing character.
