Jeonnam Gwangju Fire Headquarters conducts rescues and holiday safety inspections

The Jeonnam Gwangju Integrated Fire Headquarters is intensifying safety measures and emergency responses in the region. In Mokpo, firefighters successfully rescued a vehicle that became stuck in a gravel area by the seaside in Daeyang-dong. The rescue was necessary after private insurance emergency services were unable to reach the location due to the terrain. Firefighters acted to prevent potential vehicle flooding and oil leaks from incoming tides.

Additionally, the fire headquarters has announced a fire prevention campaign ahead of the 2026 Chuseok holiday, running until next month. The initiative focuses on inspecting high-risk facilities, including traditional markets, large retail stores, nursing homes, logistics warehouses, and accommodations. The department will conduct safety investigations, joint inspections of emergency exits and fire equipment, and public awareness campaigns to ensure citizen safety during the holiday period.
