Jeonnam Gwangju seeks 2026 Master Craftsmen to honor skilled technicians

Jeonnam Gwangju Integrated Special City has announced the recruitment of the ‘2026 Jeonnam Gwangju Integrated Special City Master Craftsmen’. The initiative aims to identify and honor individuals possessing top-tier technical skills who have contributed to the development of regional skilled technologies.

Up to 10 individuals will be selected from 92 occupations across 38 different fields. To qualify, applicants must have at least 15 years of experience in their respective field and have resided in or worked at a business within the integrated special city for at least three years.

The selection process involves a three-stage evaluation: a document review and on-site inspection by an expert committee, a public opinion collection phase, and a final interview and deliberation by the Master Craftsman Deliberation Committee.

Selected masters will receive the official title, a certificate, and a plaque. Additionally, they will be provided with a technical incentive grant of 2 million won annually for five years, totaling 10 million won. Applications are being accepted until the 18th via visit or registered mail.
