Jersey Shore beach forecast warns moderate rip current risk and high UV index in early June

The National Weather Service issued a moderate‑risk rip‑current advisory for the Jersey Shore on June 6 and June 8, indicating life‑threatening currents are possible in the surf zone. A Small Craft Advisory was also posted for the afternoon of June 6, urging inexperienced mariners to avoid hazardous conditions.
