Jersey Shore forecast calls for moderate rip currents and high UV on July 12

The Jersey Shore weather outlook for Sunday, July 12 warns of a moderate risk of rip currents, with life‑threatening conditions possible in the surf zone. Waves are expected to be 1‑2 feet high, winds from the northeast at 6‑9 mph (gusts up to 14 mph), ocean temperatures between 73 °F and 83 °F and air temperatures of 77‑84 °F. The UV index will reach 9, classified as very high. Tide times for multiple shore points—including Sandy Hook, Long Branch, Manasquan, Seaside Heights and Atlantic City—are listed, showing high and low tides throughout the day and night.

The marine forecast from the National Weather Service in Mt. Holly indicates easterly winds of 5‑10 kt becoming southeast later, with seas of 2‑3 ft.
