Jerusalem and West Bank face increased Israeli raids and settler violence

Tensions have escalated in Jerusalem and the West Bank following a series of Israeli military operations, raids, and settler activities. In Jerusalem, approximately 236 settlers entered the Al-Aqsa Mosque during morning and evening periods under Israeli military protection, while an additional 590 individuals entered under the designation of ‘tourism.’

Israeli forces arrested six Palestinians in various locations, including Anata, Qalandia, and Jerusalem. Reports indicate that a 23-year-old resident of Abu Dis and another individual at the Jaba checkpoint were injured during physical assaults by soldiers. Additionally, Israeli intelligence issued a ban preventing Raed Saghir, a cleaning supervisor at Al-Aqsa Mosque, from accessing the site.

In the West Bank, Israeli forces demolished homes and structures in the Fir'ah al-Hawa area of Hebron, citing a lack of permits in Area C. These demolitions followed a shooting incident in the region. Concurrently, settler attacks were reported across several areas: farmers in Burin were injured, three individuals were detained in Beit Jann, and olive trees were destroyed in Sinjil. In Hebron, military closures and checkpoints restricted movement and prevented access to the Ibrahimi Mosque.
