Forlì-Cesena police dismantle prostitution ring across multiple provinces

The Squadra Mobile of Forlì-Cesena conducted a major operation targeting a prostitution ring operating across several Italian provinces, including Forlì, Cesena, Faenza, Bologna, and Ferrara. Investigators searched at least seven apartments used as meeting houses, managed by Italian and Chinese nationals. During the raids, police identified eight women of Chinese origin, seven of whom were found to be undocumented. Authorities seized approximately 30,000 euros in cash and various electronic devices.

Following the operation, the Italian Unitary Union of Police Workers (SIULP) praised the professionalism of the officers but issued a warning regarding critical staffing shortages in the province. The union reported that police personnel are facing unsustainable workloads and double shifts, noting that over 20 officers in the province are expected to retire in 2026, which could further strain local law enforcement capabilities.
