Law enforcement operations in Forlì-Cesena

Overview

The Squadra Mobile of Forlì-Cesena dismantled a prostitution ring operating across several Italian provinces, including Forlì, Cesena, Faenza, Bologna, and Ferrara. During raids on at least seven apartments managed by Italian and Chinese nationals, police identified eight women of Chinese origin, seven of whom were undocumented. Authorities seized approximately 30,000 euros in cash and various electronic devices.

In the wake of the operation, the Italian Unitary Union of Police Workers (SIULP) commended the officers' professionalism but highlighted critical staffing shortages in the province. The union warned that personnel are facing “unsustainable workloads and double shifts,” noting that more than 20 officers are expected to retire in 2026, which may further impact local law enforcement capabilities.
