Matchbox: The Movie arrives on Apple TV starring John Cena
The action-comedy film ‘Matchbox: The Movie’, inspired by Mattel’s iconic toy brand, is now available for streaming on Apple TV. Directed by Sam Hargrave, the film stars John Cena as Sean Walker, an undercover CIA agent whose reunion with childhood friends turns into a high-stakes international mission to recover a nuclear warhead.
The production was filmed in various global locations, including Budapest, Hungary; Casablanca, Morocco; and parts of Slovakia and California. The cast features John Cena, Jessica Biel, Sam Richardson, Teyonah Parris, and Arturo Castro.
In addition to the film's release, Mattel has introduced a new collection of scale model vehicles inspired by the movie. The film’s premiere events were held in New York and London, where lead actress Jessica Biel drew attention for her fashion choices. Notably, Biel’s eleven-year-old son, Silas, also made his film debut with a small cameo role at the end of the movie.
