Jessica Parra takes lead in Vuelta Femenina a Costa Rica
Colombian cyclist Jessica Parra, representing the Patobike BMC team, took the overall lead in the 24th edition of the Vuelta Femenina a Costa Rica after winning the fourth stage. The stage consisted of a demanding 12-kilometer individual time trial between Cot de Cartago and San Juan de Chicuá, reaching altitudes of 2,800 meters near the Irazú volcano.
Parra finished the stage with a time of approximately 47 minutes, securing a 31-second advantage over defending champion Camila Valbuena and a 49-second lead over Costa Rican rider Gloriana Quesada. With this performance, Parra also assumes the mountain classification leadership.
The competition moves into its final stage, which will feature a circuit through various locations in Escazú, concluding at the Municipality.
